PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS JOB:
The role encompasses overall responsibility for the end-to-end coordination and development of visual and digital content to effectively communicate messages to an audience or market, using visual hierarchy, page layout, typography, imagery, and various online media tools to meet user-specific needs. The purpose of the role is to ensure an engaging and interactive user experience that optimises the entire customer journey, while actively contributing to the operations of the Academic Division/Faculty and coordinating and advising on academic student administration matters. The incumbent is expected to live the values and uphold the brand pillars of Waterfall School of Business, and to perform any additional responsibilities assigned to the function as and when required.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
- Plan and organize visual communication through ideas, messages and information intended for the audiences in the various communication channels.
- Brand Identity – To create and maintain a consistent visual identity for brands, business and organizations and ensure materials meet the required standards.
- Engagement – To create visually engaging content that captures the audience attention and awareness around key prompts and messages
- Brainstormand sketch initial concepts or ideas from ideation to implementation.
- Design and production of documents such as study guides, assignments, memorandums, templates, marketing documentation, policy and procedures
- In the design process manage and implement corrections, updates and different mood boards or style guides to help visualize the direction for the design.
- Use graphic design software and AI or office tools (e.g. Adobe, Creative Suite, Synthesia, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Design etc) to create visual elements through imaging or video canvas for different communication purposes.
- Communicate and consider different colour schemes, typography and layout to develop a visually appealing aesthetic pleasing and functional design.
- Responsible for the shooting and editing of the Graduation Process or special process which requires the skill of video production
- Create promotional videos which showcases the courses in an innovative style
- Create interactive support material with tutors and facilitate sessions between tutors and students to create support materials
- Communicate and consider different color schemes, typography and layout to develop a visually appealing aesthetic pleasing and functional design.
- Prepare final designs for both digital and print formats ensuring high quality compatibility and quality assurance before placing the orders.
- Maintain organized files and documentation for revisions and iterations and manage the comprehensive booklist including the prescribed material.
- Review designs for any errors and quality assurance and adherence to brand specifications.
- Familiarity with Design methodology
- Use of project management software such as MS Project or equivalent is advantageous.
- Understanding and the coordination of different process flows within an academic institution.
- Working with different external governing bodies
- Intimate knowledge of Graphic Design or Digital Marketing.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work with people from diverse

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years in a Marketing or Graphic Design Support role at a recognized tertiary
- Familiarity with Regulatory, institutional, governance and quality assurance aspects within and education environment.
- Proven ability to coordinate, accreditation and registration processes, from planning to completion.
- Track record of successful management and coordination of Examinations, Accreditation, Registration and Policies etc.
- Demonstratable evidence of student administration and support.
- Familiarity with Student Information Systems (SIS).
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A postgraduate qualification (at Degree level or as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in business / design / marketing / creative degree or a cognate discipline) is an advantage.
- Any additional post graduate qualification(s) in this field to show continuous updating in this field
